Palemoon sync and Firefox sync

Post by drumtrucker » 2015-08-14, 04:41

I set up Palemoon sync on 2 of my PC's and Firefox sync on my android phone with the same account (email address). Should this work or is it going to blow up on me?

Pale Moon sync and Firefox sync are totally different from each other. Now on the mobile I would think so too, but I'm unsure? You try looking for your question in the forum (search bar) to see if has been answered already.
With Pale Moon by my side, surfing the web is quite enjoyable and takes my headaches away! :)

As LimboSlam said, they are 2 completely different services.
It won't "blow up", but your Android Firefox won't be able to sync data with your Pale Moon installations and the other way around, because it's sent to different servers.

No, because Firefox changed their Sync to a different (IMO less secure) "Firefox Accounts" setup and Pale Moon doesn't have a client for that. It's still called "Sync" by Mozilla, but is completely different from what we use. Previously, Mozilla would use the same (Weave-based) Sync we do, so it would be fine to exchange between the two.

The only option you have at the moment, I think, would be to use a third party Sync service that has a compatible client (extension) for Pale Moon and Firefox.
