Hello, tapatalk has become my de facto forum reader but I can't add Pale Moon forum there. I am not sure who should take some action and it this compatibility issue of the forum SW and tapatalk.
Is this intentional and/or do you care for this

?
Thanks.

You will have to ask one of the administrators around here to add Tapatalk support for this forum, before you can use this forum from it.

Looks like it needs a plugin for the forum.. Yeah Admin will have to evaluate it.. However, I dunno really what Tapatalk does.. Can't you just use the browser.. I have done many a-posts on the go just fine.
How far are you prepared to go? How much are you prepared to risk? How many people are you prepared to sacrifice for victory?
Are you willing to die friendless, alone, deserted by everyone? Because that's what may be required of you in the war that is to come.

I'd guess that Tapatalk has a few features that are essential for a few people. As for as using the browser -- this forum isn't mobile friendly and I can understand where they're coming from.

The Tapatalk communication module has been installed in the forum. Since there's no way for me to test this, please let me know if it was successful.
Did you know that moral outrage triggers the pleasure centers of the brain? It's unlikely you can actually get addicted to outrage, but there is plausible evidence that you can become strongly predisposed to it.

I don't see PM in the index yet, but I did read this on Tapatalk's support site:
How long before my forum appears in the Tapatalk directory?
Once you complete the Tapatalk installation process, it can take up to 24 hours for your forum to appear in the Tapatalk directory. If it you successfully completed the installation process, and it’s been 24 hours, please submit a support ticket.
So it may be a bit more before is shows up. Has anyone else been able to get to the forums via Tapatalk?

BTW, is it possible to have a Tapatalk promo that's not so much "in your face"? This is what I get from a mobile device:

I've disabled the one-time splash screen in the module, since it's rather annoyingly large

A little more subtlety would do some people good.

As it turns out I had to take some extra steps to get all of this hooked up, like create a site owner account, verify domain ownership in Google, dodge the multiple attempts at mass-mailing ALL forum users about tapatalk availability, etc. -- I really do hope it's worth it; it's rather invasive and I don't particularly enjoy their server having board and user access outside of the regular channels for this integration.

Maybe we should try the mobile theme again, even though it was a pain to work out some non-mobile users getting the mobile screen, it was much less invasive (for everyone) than this app, plus we can use PM4A instead of a separate app.

It's still not disabled... appbanner.js still loads and displays that large message.
I have to agree with X, a mobile theme seems like the only solution, rather than this invasive thing which tries to tell "download our app" with a large banner that consumes 1/3rd of the screen. (Of course, it's not a solution for Tapatalk users).
BTW, I'm testing with the UA "Opera/9.80 (Android; Opera Mini/7.6.35766/35.5706; U; en) Presto/2.8.119 Version/11.10".

Well, it's disabled in options - so unless the MOD is actually broken and ignores the option, it should not display the welcome screen anymore.

OK... so... First it shows a full-page screen, THEN it shows the banner? Despite my options... (I just tested this on my tablet)... Nope. this has to go right now. that's just too much.
EDIT: Done. And.. as a critical note: it's one thing to make the forum accessible to an app, but another thing altogether to use the forum to very aggressively advertise the app. I understand them of course, since the App is ad-supported and it makes them money, but if I damn well tell it to stay out of our users' face, then it should honor those administrator choices.

Off-topic:I am working on that front.. No ETA because phpBB themeing is annoying as all hell.. I shall prevail in the end though

Thanks for the effort. I hoped it will be less painful. BTW palemoon is now visible in the tapatalk but I am getting "network configuration" error.
Waiting for the mobile site.

Yeah it's listed in their index but without a solution from their side for proper integration that actually works without making the forum an advertising channel for their product, the forum side of the integration won't be activated (so it won't work in the client). I'm still keeping an open option and opened a ticket with them, but the only response so far has been that they wanted unrestricted access to the forum (both files and administration panel) to provide assistance by sending them FTP and forum administrator login username and password (in plaintext e-mail at that). That's not something I'm giving out to a provider whom I don't have a clear agreement and established level of trust with.

I gave this another shot and poked around in some of the scripting involved. I think I have it completely transparent to desktop users now. People on mobile will get an option to switch to mobile, and particularly small devices (either horizontal or vertical max screen size 480 pixels) will automatically be switched. The latter, I think, has been the problem before, since it was set to 720; and i think some netbooks/laptops would really not reach that.
This is done with some media query juggling, annoying to find. Please let me know if there's still an issue.

Thanks, this is great! I just tested using PM4A on Galaxy S4 (1920×1080), the forums flashed up in Mobile mode, then switched back to full mode, but I just clicked the Mobile view button and all is well.
Thanks again, this is great for mobile devices!
