Increasing the number of posts/page

Post by squarefractal » 2015-04-06, 02:28

At present, the forum displays 10 posts per page, which I think is a bit low, and it becomes a bit painful to read long threads.

Could this be raised to a higher value? 15 would be a good choice, and is used by quite a few forums.

I prefer it going down as never-ending, no pages, but limitations are good.

Changed it to 25, will have to check how it affects server load, though.

A lot of boards let the user configure this themselves, so maybe that could be looked into?
Of course, on these boards I usually leave it on the default setting so that my page numbers don't get confused when logging in/out.

"A lot of boards" will probably use different forum software. Our solution doesn't support user settings of amount of posts/topics per page, that is determined by the administration.
