Windows 7 desktop shortcuts

Post by evanescent » 2015-02-11, 17:14

Because Pale Moon does not (yet?) have a Dashlane plug-in or add-on, I can't make it my default browser, as I need Dashlane to work on it. However, I want to use Pale Moon in preference to other browsers when I can, and one of these would be to create Win 7 desktop shortcuts to play different internet radio stations from www.listenlive.eu, using the Pale Moon VLC add-on. For this, I need the shortcut to bring up www.listenlive.eu/xxxradioyyy.m3u with one click. For the life of me I can't right click on Win7 desktop/new to create a shorcut to do it, though I can on Firefox. Could anyone please tell this PaleMoon newbie step by step how to do it, or point me to a URL that does so? Thanks in anticipation.

1. Make a copy of your existing Pale Moon desktop shortcut
2. Rename the shortcut to whatever you like
3. In the shortcut properties, Target: field, add the full URL to your web site immediately following "C:\Program Files\Pale Moon\palemoon.exe"
4. You can optionally change other items like the Icon, Run as Admin, etc.
