On this thread here, there are instructions on how to disable DNS Prefetching. In following those instructions, I see that the needed entry already exists and is set properly (to disable). Was this added to later versions of Pale Moon? I don't remember ever adding this preference, and I've just recently installed a fresh copy of Pale Moon anyway.

DNS prefetching has been switched off by default in Pale Moon a long time ago and it's off in new installations. Note that the post linked to is old, from 2011, and I haven't thought of updating it when I switched the default to "off".
