If possible, please include the output of help->troubleshooting information (as text):
Pale Moon will not print past page 1 of an email. Second and subsequent pages will print only the header and footer info at the top and bottom of the page. My email provider, Fastmail, says it uses the browser's print functionality to print emails. PDF documents will print properly. As a comparison, Thorium won't print a normal document at all (Print Preview displays a 'failed' message) but will print a PDF document. I have no other (modern enough) browsers that will allow me to log on to my email account.
I can forward an email to a backup email account with another provider, and the print function will perform properly there. So, apparently it's not strictly a Pale Moon problem, but as Fastmail says below, a joint problem.
Fastmail has escalated the issue to Tier 2 then Tier 3 support with no solution. They wanted me to try a new profile. I've never done that, looked into it, and am not crazy about going through all those steps. Also, that Pale Moon tutorial/how-to is 10 years old and somewhat out of date. At the very least, the Pale Moon button menu options shown in the tutorial/how-to don't match what we have now.
My last email from Fastmail said, "I looked into this, and the issue does seem like something specific to Palemoon and Fastmail. I am afraid, we don't know what exactly is causing this. We have seen some issues related to incompatibility with Palemoon in the past, and this is likely related to that. Unfortunately, it's not trivial to troubleshoot this . . . ".
Fastmail says, "While we make our best effort to ensure that Fastmail can be accessed on older versions of browsers wherever possible, we can only provide support for the latest versions.
As new browser APIs become widely available among our user base, we will adopt them in order to build a better Fastmail experience. This means dropping all support for very old browsers from time-to-time.
Effective June 15, 2025, you will not be able to use Fastmail's web interface in browsers that don't support certain modern features (such as pointer events, dynamic import, and async function generators)."
Don't know if any of this quote is relevant to my 'print' problem.
So, any ideas here? Can anybody help Fastmail figure this thing out? Thanks.
