A new (fresh/clean) profile does not help - the start-page takes over 2½ minutes to fully load (ever since updating from v33.8.1.2 to v33.8.2).
After that of course (as has been the case the start-page will load just fine if I refresh or start the start-page in a new tab again) which then takes just 30-35 seconds to fully load.

So I switched back to my former "default user" profile - with the same results as described above).

Post v33.8.3 - It's always very slow loading, i.e. taking 2½+ minutes - and then any load after that has no problem.

Hmm, this isn't making any sense to me --- using a new (fresh/clean) profile did not help - but... one would presume a new (fresh) profile would be using the "default" value for the browser.cache.disk_cache_ssl pref... which would be using the "true" value, which oddly enough is the (default) "true" value I changed this pref to in my about"config settings to resolve the load issue... -- nonsensical to say the least.

That said, now that Pale Moon is finally successfully loading the start.me page initially from the start as expected (after all this time) - I'm a happy-camper and will leave well enough alone (in this oh-so strange world I live in... )

@ Drugwash, just wondering since you were having a similar issue as I've been having --- what is your browser.cache.disk_cache_ssl pref set at?

For me that value has always been at its default of true. However, since my problem is with non-secure pages - that is, http, not https - I assume SSL cache not to have any impact whatsoever on the issue whether it be set to true or false.

Anyway, glad you found a fix for your own issue. Good job, hopefully it'll last!
