Take this video as an example:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9iv-aEjXILg
Without MSE for WebM video enabled, I can only watch up to 1080p on youtube. If MSE for WebM video enabled, I could go up to 2160p.
So why MSE for WebM video and AV1 media format disabled by default? Is there any compatibility issues?

Because it can sometimes fuck up and Travis hasn't had the time to do anything about it for years. You can enable it and it might work fine for most things but that potential remains so it is disabled by default.

Without it, there is no higher quality than 1080p on youtube.

And whose fault do you think that is?...

No reason to cry. I will just use another browser for youtube. Only your browser becomes more and more irrelevant.

I recommend you stop posting a torrent of posts and take your time to lurk on the forum for a while, getting familiar with the community and above all not jumping to conclusions.
Did you know that moral outrage triggers the pleasure centers of the brain? It's unlikely you can actually get addicted to outrage, but there is plausible evidence that you can become strongly predisposed to it.
