Of note is that the desktop image was entirely computer-generated with a local install of Stable Diffusion (generative AI) on my aging AMD GPU. It's not perfect but pretty close and I decided to not actually do much manual editing work on it after I spent a couple hours getting the generation and further refining the way I wanted it (after getting the base setup for this scene from a good friend). Feel free to play a game of "spot the AI gaffs" if you want

Re: Posting my desktop
I decided to go for a different theme this month and have an Asian vibe. Otherwise just my gadgets and the (out of view) launch bar at the top of my screen and a traditional Win7-style task bar and menu.

Re: Posting my desktop
Today I am posting my wallpaper Desktop photo using my Linux Mint SSD in my desktop tower computer with a three hard drive bay.
Most of my hobbies are water related which are: fishing, crabbing, snorkeling, standup up paddleboarding, prone longboard surfing and when I was much younger, boating.
So I decided to go with a "blast from my past" to show a boating night time scene where daylight is approaching in the very early morning.

This isn't my desktop, which is just solid color black for now, but when somethings up just because, it's usually Pale Moon with my start.me page as the active tab.

Re: Posting my desktop
I'm on my #1 desktop tower computer which has a three hard drive bay in it. Two SSD's are running, at the time of this post, 64 bit linux Mint 22 (Wilma) Xfce and the third SSD is running 64 bit MX Linux 23.3 (Libretto) Xfce. This desktop photo is on my first SSD running linux Mint.
I've changed the desktop photo/picture to what was my favorite wade fishing spot for catching flounder. It "was" at Rollover Pass at Gilchrist, Texas. The Pass separated East Bay from the Gulf of Mexico. Unfortunately, the Pass was filled in by the Corp of Engineers so it is no longer a good wade fishing spot for flounder.
But before the Pass was filled in cutting off East Bay from the Gulf of Mexico, it had given me some great memories wade fishing for flounder over the decades I have lived in the state of Texas which I hope I will never forget.

Re: Posting my desktop
I'm still using my #1 desktop tower computer with it's three hard drives in it. SSD #1's desktop photo/picture is now with a Rollover Pass photo. This SSD is my #2 and it is also running, at this time, 64 bit Linux Mint 22 (Wilma) Xfce.
I thought I would change this desktop wallpaper as well with a nice night time theme. The photo below is a place in Monaco.

Since Halloween is this upcoming Thursday, I thought I would go with a "witch" theme for it. Based along the lines of "Elvira - Mistress Of The Dark".

Re: Posting my desktop
It's actually a recreation of what used to be desktop gadgets (before Microsoft decided they didn't want a customizable desktop after all and killed gadgets with the reason of "safety and security", but almost certainly was so they could push branding harder. We've seen that before). This recreation is done with Rainmeter and the "Gadgets" rainmeter skin by SilverAzide.mr tribute wrote: ↑2024-10-30, 18:07What is the program displaying cores and drives called? Looks nice.

Halloween is over so it is time to back to Reality.
The Desktop photo I chose troday and hope to keep for at least two months is Santorini which is an island in the Aegean Sea. But Santorini's official name is "Thera" and it belongs to the country of Greece.

Re: Posting my desktop
Thanksgiving is just about over since it is late Thursday night where I live. Time for another desktop picture/photo.
Since this upcoming Sunday will be December 1st, it is now time to switch gears and think about the oncoming Winter and also Christmas. With that said, I have chosen this picture/photo to reflect those two elements.

Re: Posting my desktop
My previous Desktop was a log cabin with a christmas tree out in front of the cabin. Christmas is now over, but it is still Winter. Time for me to go with a strictly winter Desktop.
I am partial to desktop tower computers and this tower has a three hard drive bay and there are three SSD's in it. This desktop photo is on a hard drive running, at this time, Linux Mint.
