[Solved] Recent audio issue with streams.

Post by Mabui » 2013-04-11, 23:37

I looked around for any other audio problems (as much as searching for them and going through each page) and couldn't find something relating to this yet.

As recent as yesterday I have had the issue of going to a site where you watch video game streams and it seems to be that randomly the audio of the stream will just stop working. Pausing and unpausing the stream will make it work again but it does the same thing and stops working randomly. This error doesn't seem to happen on places such as twitch.tv. I am using the 20.1 x64 version of Palemoon which I think is the most recent and this issue is the same on the most recent Firefox as well. If I use Google Chrome the error doesn't seem to show up.

Is this an issue that is in my computer or is there just a booboo in the most recent versions of the browsers? Does anyone else have this happen to them?

I have no way to tell what would be causing the issue on my end. I have disabled all add-ons and restarted Palemoon. I have reinstalled Palemoon.

This is on Windows 7.
20.1x64
64-bit.
The add-ons I have are
Adblock Plus 2.2.3
Always Right 1.2
Greasemonkey 1.8
Old Default Image Style 2.2.1
Switch to Tab no more 0.1
updated Ad Blocker for Firefox 11+ 0.7.7

I'm new to posting on the forum so I don't really know if I am asking right or not.

Welcome to the forum.

If you have sound problems, then why not update your sound driver?

May be a Flash bug, which Flash version do you have?

Some streams do give problems, I watched a Google Hangout video game stream yesterday and the sound was intermittent but that was a problem with the stream, not Flash. Other streams were working perfectly at the same time.

I actually asked around on some of the streams and a few others had the problem. I just went around and asked as soon as I created this topic.

Apparently the most recent flash 11.7 has issues with stream audio and video audio.

I just went back to 11.6 and it was fixed.
