On Yahoo e-mail messages are blank when opened

Problem statement:
My Operating system:
- XP Pro 2002, SP3
The exact version of Pale Moon I am using:
- Version: 19.0.1 desktop 32 bit
Basic hardware information if relevant: CPU, graphics card, amount of RAM:
- N/A (because the problem I am reporting doesn't seem to occur on other web pages.)
- And, the problem does not occur when I do the same thing using FireFox or IE.
A description of the problem:
- When I go to my Yahoo mail box and open a message, there is no text in the message. However, I discovered that if I press the "print" button on the page, the text appears and can be read, but it is displayed on a new window.
- The problem has occurred several times - every time I tried to use Pale Moon to view my Yahoo messages.
- The few times I have used Pale Moon, I have not noticed similar problems on other web pages.

Steps to reproduce the problem:
- Start Pale Moon, log into Yahoo mail, open a message to read the contents, and view a blank where there should be text. If there is a message is displayed that there are images that are not displayed and you are given the option to display them, click on the message to display the graphics and you will still get a blank "sheet" to "read" instead of the message contents!
Expected result:
- A display of the message contents when I open a message on Yahoo mail.
Actual result:
- See above description.

If I open Yahoo mail using FireFox and try to read the exact same messages that do not display in Pale Moon, the message text appears and can be read. Likewise, for any graphics that may be in the message; the graphics will display when the message about blocked graphics is clicked.

I have no idea what causes the problem nor how to go about solving it.

Welcome to the forum! Belatedly checked my own rarely used Yahoo! Mail account today and all e-mail messages open normally using Pale Moon 19.0.1 - no problems seen with blank text.

Mail Help: http://help.yahoo.com/kb/index;_ylt=Ag9 ... cale=en_US and Mozilla Support (SUMO): https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/home both give same initial troubleshooting advice, clear browser cache and cookies - e.g. SUMO Q&A ....when attempting to open a Yahoo mail message the message window goes white and the open never completes. A keyword search on SUMO finds several variations of this Q&A.

Some suggestions of conflicting Add-ons - Stylish and/or a Stylish script gets a mention - so try starting Pale Moon in Safe Mode and/or checking through your Add-ons one-by-one? SUMO Q&A also suggests a problem with Ghostery filters interfering with Yahoo! Mail. Similarly try disabling any Adblock Plus filter settings on your Yahoo! Mail pages?

A very first step often skipped is clearing your cache. If a connection was interrupted and a file incorrectly downloaded for display style and the likes, you may have display issues. (Tools ->) Options -> Advanced -> Network -> "Clear now" button.

As for add-ons, if you have ghostery, start there - it's actually caused some issues before with Yahoo mail in beta test cycles, like buttons or other elements being blank.
Starting with add-ons disabled and/or in safe mode is a good step to take, and if it resolved the problem, enable the add-ons one by one again to see where the issue starts occurring. If the problem occurs in safe mode as well, please check if antivirus/internet security/firewall software may be interfering.
