How to load only home page at startup

Post by woodlander » 2017-08-12, 01:22

I am new user, as you will determine from my question. When I start Pale Moon, it loads several tabs that I used in my previous session. How can I stop this? I only want to load my homepage - nothing else. Is this possible? If yes, How?

Thanks, in advance, for any help you can provide.

(Alt) Tools > Options > General tab :)

Alternatively, instead of (Alt) Tools, you can click the Pale Moon button and choose Options in the right pane.
And on that tab, look at "When Pale Moon starts:" and set it to "Show my home page".

That is "Options" > "General" is the tab to get there. ;)

Thanks for the responses. I have resolved the problem. I guess I wasn't really paying attention and I somehow wound up with multiple home pages defined. I didn't know that was possible, but I have learned. It wasn't too hard to fix once I understood what was happening.

Thanks again. I like the browser. For the most part, it is easy to get used to.

Yep, multiple start-pages can be added that are separated by the "|" character, which is what you apparently found out.

I have always found it easier to just have one tab open, display my chosen homepage in said tab.(for me personally that would be duckduckgo.),then go into preferences.-General-use current page.

Yep, this is the easiest approach to setting start-page for sure, but I refer a start-page that includes all possible links that I frequently use along with other various types of current news info --- start.me does a decent job at providing this....
