They are definitely going to emasculate the core browser code :thumbdown:

Here is the short list of the corresponding bugs based on the current state of bug #1347507:
The start of the destruction works is scheduled for August 8, 2017 when the nightly channel will reach version 57 :evil:
Here are the add-ons I made in a spare time. That was fun!

Firefox is my #3 browser on all of my Windows 7 hard drives. When Firefox 57 is released this upcoming November 14th of 2017, I'll delete (then) Firefox 56, install Firefox 52.5 ESR, make a new profile in 52.5 ESR, re-install all of my FF bookmarks and this version of Firefox should take me until June 26th of 2018 so I can escape the mess the regular Firefox 57 is going to create this upcoming November with regards to the many old addons which won't work anymore.

With Firefox 52.5 ESR, I can still use NoSquint Plus and Adblock Plus until June 26th of 2018 since these are the only two addons I use in Firefox. This is my plan unless Mozilla throws me an unexpected curve ball.
