Are you a millennial?

I was looking at what years were the millennial generation and I was surprised I am a millennial. I was born in 1980 and apparently the years between 1980-1999 are the millennial generation. I always equated the millennial generation to the late 1990's. After 1999 it's Gen Y. But it seems there are varying degrees especially in other countries like China.

It's more defined by what people had available and grew up with than hard years. People are really not defining this clearly by year as a result.
