GRE is short for "Gecko Rendering Engine" (Firefox) or "Goanna Rendering Engine" (Pale Moon). These resource paths refer to modules that are part of the platform toolkit.

What's your value in about:config general.useragent.override.chase.com?
I have this value in my Pale Moon 26.5.0 (x64):

Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:31.9) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/31.9

Should I change it to something else?

Thanks. It worked, no pop-up after logging off.

These things are really annoying. TY all who contributed in this thread as I have just changed from 31.9 to 38.0 in my chase override string and the idiotic browser message is gone.

As I had previously posted, I've had no problems logging-in to Chase with the log-in URL I posted using Pale Moon 26.5, but then yes this UA Override pref is what fixes the browser version warning as far as the log-off is concerned. ;)

Just a quick observation. I normally do not run P M in Firefox Compatibility Mode. On occasion I may turn it on when having issues someplace in case it fixes them. Sometimes I forget to uncheck it after I am done on that page. Yesterday I was on the Chase site to pay a bill electronically. This was the first time since changing the user agent string that I doing so. The second to last step when ready to pay bills is to click on a box saying "Pay This Bill" which leads to the final page where you must click "Pay Bills" to make the payments.

Yesterday when I got to the second to last step and tried to click on "Pay This Bill", the button was inactive and nothing happened. My first instinct was to turn on flash and reload the page which did not help. Next, I suspended Ghostery on the page and again reloaded to no avail. Finally, I thought I would try turning on FireFox mode only to discover it already was on, so I turned it off. When I reloaded the page, the dead button was live and I could pay the bill.

Figured this might help anybody who has a similar problem.

^ Good info (above), but also very interesting however that I have always had FF compatibility mode enabled and the last time I checked (in September) I did not have any problems paying my credit card bill on-line with the 26.4.1 version of Pale Moon. Perhaps the latest 26.5.0 version has problems (I haven't paid a bill on-line since changing to the current v26.5 admittedly) which I'll find out the next time I make another payment presumably (will report back then).

If in fact v26.5 actually breaks what worked in 26.4.1 (since it worked for me with FF compatibility mode on), well that wouldn't be so good. (just have to wait and see until when the bill is due unfortunately).

I mentioned I would report back (posted above) the next time I made a payment so I can now report that everything is still working fine including paying a due bill tonight without any problems which means PM v26.5 continues to work as did the prior PM release and with FF compatibility mode on....

I asked my wife (who's a classical music fan, just "who's in the picture"?) and sure enough without hesitation the answer was most assuredly, it is Beethoven just as you say.... Oh and I asked because I wouldn't actually know at all myself... :D

I know. I did it on purpose. On all pictures of Mozart that I found on Internet Wolfgang looked very silly. Ludwig's picture represents my character better. :)
