We've come a long way since our start in 2009, and quite a few things are obsolete on the server and are just taking up unnecessary space and bandwidth - so it's time to get out the broom and remove a few things:
- Blocklists: Up to now we've maintained a few different versions of the extension/plugin blocklists. After the cleanup we will only be offering continued blocklisting services for Pale Moon 25 and above.
- Automatic updates: We will also clean up our automatic updates service to only be usable for versions 25 and above. This means that if you are on an older version of the browser, the update check will no longer inform you of new releases and you will have to update by downloading the appropriate installer.
- PGP signatures: We will be removing PGP signatures for older versions from the main website. You can find these along with archived versions on the archive FTP and/or archive.org.
- Obsolete web setup manifests: We will only retain a manifest for the currently active version of the web-setup (stub installer) from now on.
- Knowledge base files: several binaries and/or fixes previously hosted on the main website in /KB will be moved to the FTP server in the "misc" directory.
