PM 26 only rendering some of the images at mmafighting.com.

PM v26.0 & v26.0.2 desktop. PM v25.8.1 and the newest versions of FF ESR, Chrome Beta x64, Comodo Dragon and IE 11 rendered all of the images. I have screenshots from PM v26.0.2 and FF ESR v38.6. If it is Really needed I can reinstall 25.8.1 but I'm positive all of the images were fine on v25. This last weekend I did a clean install of v26.0 and images were still a problem. The homepage at MMA Fighting always has missing images w/PM 26, whenever the page gets updated the location of the missing images will change inside the page. My desktop recently died so I am currently using my classic Toshiba 16" laptop.
Windows 7 Home Premium x64 SP1
Intel Core2 Duo @ 2.20 GHz (using high performance power plan) 4 GB RAM
Nvidia GeForce GT 230M overclocked 15%

I'm pleasantly surprised how well this antique hardware is running Pale Moon, I think the gpu is making up some of the performance lost by the cpu. Appreciate all the work Moonchild and everyone else has been putting into this over the years. Starting a new job soon so you can count on my making another donation this spring. Thanks!

PM v26.0.2 Whoop whoop! ;)

Maybe it is something related to the webp image format that was added in PM 26.

In Pale Moon link to the image of Tim Means:

Code: Select all

In Firefox:

Code: Select all

https://cdn3.vox-cdn.com/thumbor/YiAl7nZqvHWZoEPMYcZwucLeziE=/129x0:678x732/500x666/cdn0.vox-cdn.com/uploads/chorus_image/image/48735159/019_Tim_Means.1374885283.0.jpg
Notice the filters:format(webp) for Pale Moon.

I think you're probably right. Your comment reminds me of something I did this weekend trying to figure out what was going on and forgot to mention in my post. I first disabled uBlock and Ghostery, no change, I then opened the web developer tools - network to see if my hosts file was blocking anything. I've been using and working on a hosts file for years, nothing was being blocked. I then restarted PM with add-ons disabled, no change. What I forgot to mention was that there were two webp image requests with zero KB's in size that I noticed using the web developer tools. Also, the page reloaded 4 times which is why the page load time is so slow, 15+ seconds. Bandwidth is not an issue, I have 90 Mbps down and 6 Mbps up. FF ESR and Chrome Beta did not reload the page. FF did not have any webp image requests and Chrome had one. Except for IE all of my installed browsers use the same filters in uBlock and Ghostery blocks about 25% of what it is capable of blocking, mostly beacons. Usually Pale Moon is just as fast if not faster than the other browsers with page load times, the fact that MMA Fighting is so slow shows that something is not right. Just to be clear, PM is my primary browser and is used 90-95% of the time.

I think their "on the fly" server-side conversion to webp is a little broken (your network tab shows 0kb webp files). May want to let the site owners know.

Pale Moon's WebbP support is fine, see: https://developers.google.com/speed/webp/gallery1

Thanks for the reply. I take it you are seeing the same thing I am? I'll let them know and we'll see how that works out. Reason I say that is because I sent YouTube some feedback about the flash problem and not long afterwards the "Goanna" useragent override quit working if you wanted to use flash, It's all my fault! ;)
