Re: save webpage as text doesn't work
I just saved this page okay, as .txt, from Windows 7 and PM 25.8.1 x64.
Then I booted to XP x64 and tried it - using PM 25.8.1 atom.winxp - and it didn't work.
Then I did it again, but deleting .htm from the end of the 'save as' field - and it did work!

Re: save webpage as text doesn't work
When saving a webpage, make sure to select the proper file type first. Just trying to change the extension won't change the type it is saved as.
When opening the "Save Page As" dialog, there is a drop-down with "Save as Type:", and you have to select text file, there. That is standard practice for any save as dialog that supports multiple formats.

Re: save webpage as text doesn't work
That's what I did. But in XP/Atom it saved it as an html text. Or a text html. No associated folder. Kind of like viewing the source, with an .htm extension. I expect if you changed the extension to .txt it would be exactly like viewing the source in one's text editor.Moonchild wrote:When saving a webpage, make sure to select the proper file type first.
