Seems the down load is missing. The link says it's not there anymore.Tomaso wrote:The one that I modified still works just fine for me.SGvagon wrote:Hmm, on version 1.80 youtube doesn't work anymore .
Try this:
1) Uninstall whatever version you're currently using ('Tools' > 'Add-ons' > 'Extensions' > 'Flash and Video Download' > 'Remove').
2) IMPORTANT: Restart Pale Moon.
3) Install the modified v1.80 build.

Re: Download Flash and Video download problem
Download is working, but version 1.80 doesn't detected youtube videos, only flash player on youtube.
Re: Download Flash and Video download problem
Well, the v1.80 mod works just fine for me, regardless to which player I'm using (HTML5 or Flash).SGvagon wrote:version 1.80 doesn't detected youtube videos, only flash player on youtube.
Once in a while it seems that it doesn't work, but reloading the page fixes it right away.
You haven't let it auto-update to v1.81 by any chance?

EDIT:
Found this user review @ https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefo ... and-video/ :
Could that be the reason?..Anonymous user 2e53ec wrote:Not intercepts links from youtube, if you go on youtube on your account. Only when watching videos anonymously.
It would explain why it works for me, cuz I never log on to YouTube.
Re: Download Flash and Video download problem
No, I don't have auto update, and yes, I am logged on youtube.
Re: Download Flash and Video download problem
So, does it work when you're not logged in?SGvagon wrote:I am logged on youtube.
Re: Download Flash and Video download problem
How about v1.79?:SGvagon wrote:Yes, then it works.

..does it also work when you're logged in?
Re: Download Flash and Video download problem
Nope it's working only when I logged out. Youtube maybe made some changes. So we must wait for new version of this addon.
Re: Download Flash and Video download problem
OK, let's just hope that the site compatibility issues that I mentioned here, gets fixed in the next release:SGvagon wrote:we must wait for new version of this addon.

EDIT:
v1.82 has been released.
I modified it and gave it a try..
Unfortunately, it sufferes from the same problem as v1.81:
It works on YouTube, but completely fails to detect videos on some other sites.

oops, it worked once on Youtube, but it doesn't work anymore.

Re: Download Flash and Video download problem
Ech - no, it DOESN'T.
Same old story - YouTube only, not much else.
So it does not work.

Re: Download Flash and Video download problem
Yeah, v1.80 is the last version that works with other sites.Utilizator wrote:Same old story - YouTube only, not much else.
..but unfortunately, this build is also plagued by 0-byte downloads at YouTube.

My prefered solution:
Use 'Download YouTube Videos as MP4' for YouTube videos:
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefo ... d-youtube/
..and use the modified v1.80 build of 'Download Flash & Video' for other sites:

Re: Download Flash and Video download problem
Yes, that's what I did. Thank you for the 1.80.
I just feared you gave up trying to patch the next versions.

Re: Download Flash and Video download problem
No, I've actually "patched" all of them, but they've all turned out to be useless.Utilizator wrote:I just feared you gave up trying to patch the next versions.
Judging from the changelog, the last two versions (v1.83 and v1.84) doesn't even contain any real changes..
Just code optimizations.
Re: Download Flash and Video download problem
I saw that it's in the pending list on the Pale Moon addons compatibility page. Does that mean someone is working on making it compatible or that we hope one day the developer will realize Pale Moon exists?Tomaso wrote:No, I've actually "patched" all of them, but they've all turned out to be useless.Utilizator wrote:I just feared you gave up trying to patch the next versions.

Re: Download Flash and Video download problem
I don't think so.Cogito Ergo Sum wrote:Does that mean someone is working on making it compatible
Several Pale Moon users (including you :)) has posted comments @ addons.mozilla.org, pointing out the problem.
Also, I've tried contacting the developer(s) on e-mail, linking to this thread.
I've never gotten any kind of response from them.
Re: Download Flash and Video download problem
I'm sure I'm repeating myself, but for most uses, FlashGot (patched for PM here: http://forum.palemoon.org/viewtopic.php ... 534#p82603 ) does the same thing.
You have a 720p limit on YouTube, but you can download the DASH components and remux them yourself.
I use it 90% of the time and for vids higher than 720p I use Jdownloader2. Considering the higher rez files are bigger, it's nice to have them resume-able.

Re: Download Flash and Video download problem
I used to use FlashGot with Firefox a long time ago, but you need a separate downloader.DoctorM wrote:I'm sure I'm repeating myself, but for most uses, FlashGot (patched for PM here: http://forum.palemoon.org/viewtopic.php ... 534#p82603 ) does the same thing.

Oops, just installed it and it can use the builtin downloader, so i'll give it a try.
