OK – I was able to get all MAFF functions working correctly in PM 26 using version 3.1.2 and applying the “Gecko-Content-Viewers” tweaks – but only when I installed it in a brand new profile that never had the original MAFF xpi file installed.edrtf20 wrote:What other extensions, if any, are you using?
My reasoning for saying this is that I now have two “identical” profiles with 18 addons and 2 optional themes installed. The original profile was created using an unedited 3.1.1 file and it has never been able to open .maff files, even when MAFF was removed and then an edited 3.1.2 file was installed.
So I created a new profile and used a version 3.1.2 xpi file that was edited before it was installed, and all MAFF functions worked fine. Then I added all of my other Addons and Themes and everything works as it should.
I then went back to the “original” profile and disabled all Addons and Themes and uninstalled MAFF. Then I reinstalled the same edited 3.1.2 xpi file that is working in my second profile – but it does not work in this “original” profile even with all other Addons and Themes disabled. Go Figure!
I also tested a brand new profile in PM Portable v25.81 that had only the MAFF extension installed and it was working fine. I then copied this profile into PM Portable 26 and the MAFF functions did not work – no surprise here – but when I copied this same profile back into PM 25 the MAFF functions would no longer work. I’m sure there are known issues with going from 26 back to 25, but I tried it just to see what might happen, and 26 broke a working MAFF install.
