Re: [Release] Various theme ports/forks
Glad to know it's all working.
I've also just pushed PMChrome v1.0.4 to GitHub, the only addition being that I've shaded verifiedDomain domains (e.g. duckduckgo, this forum, etc) in the identity box, since they weren't shaded before.

Re: [Release] Various theme ports/forks
Both the PMChrome and PMOpera themes extensively modify the quickdial grid page (about:newtab). One change was putting the thumbnail title under the dial thumbnail image, rather than over/within the thumbnail image, as done in the default theme. This change results in thumbnail titles becoming unreadable, when a dark background color or image is added to the quickdial page.
As a comparison, following is the same thumbnail image and title, first in the default theme and then in the Kempelton Reloaded theme: The Whitemoon theme's thumbnail titles are correctly located, but cannot be read unless the user hovers over the thumbnail image. I also checked thumbnail titles for all of your other themes. No issues were found.
Also, thumbnail icons are very different in PMChrome and PMOpera from those in the default theme. Although not a big deal, these icons should preferably be replaced with the default icons as well.As a comparison, following is the same thumbnail image and title, first in the default theme and then in the Kempelton Reloaded theme: The Whitemoon theme's thumbnail titles are correctly located, but cannot be read unless the user hovers over the thumbnail image. Re: [Release] Various theme ports/forks
PMChrome and PMOpera have been updated to solve this issue. With White Moon, this is intentional. While I was in there, though, I updated quite a few icons to match the latest Simple White release. White Moon's never looked so simple! I've also shaded the verifiedDomain domains' identity boxes for White Moon and PMOpera, too.
Re: [Release] Various theme ports/forks
Intentional or not, a speeddial/quickdial without thumbnail labels is less than useless.Lootyhoof wrote:With White Moon, this is intentional.

Re: [Release] Various theme ports/forks
Fair enough.
I've just pushed v1.0.3 to GitHub.

This is now done! It's on GitHub. Maybe some day I'll get round to remaking Kempelton Reloaded Large...Lootyhoof wrote:I hope at some point to release a version of that [Qute Legacy] using the same, larger icons as Qute Classic too, though, as it would require too much effort bringing Qute Classic itself up to standard, as it's only compatible with Firefox 4.

You have done so much work.. Take a break..
NO SERIOUSLY.. Take a break so I can catch up

Re: [Release] Various theme ports/forks
I would think there can't be that many worthwhile, FF24-compatible themes, remaining to port anyway. There are several dark themes, but these look very similar to each other and to the two dark themes already ported. Then there's Foxscape and Nuvola. That may be it, unless you reach into the older themes, or the bad or the ugly.
Re: [Release] Various theme ports/forks
Foxscape is actually one I've been secretly toying with for a while. It's a real mess under-the-hood, so I've been trying to clean it up, so expect that eventually.
Re: [Release] Various theme ports/forks
Ok kids here is what I have completed.. All previously up themes now are getting updates through add-ons manager.
The rest of the completed themes Ryan has released will be put up on the add-ons site today and when they get updated they will also get updates via the add-ons manager.
So this silly having to go to his repo won't be necessary!
In any event you may wanna check for updates just in case
UPDATE @ 0507 EDT: The two Tango themes are now live on the add-ons site.
UPDATE @ 0614 EDT: The Noia theme is up but ONLY the Theme.. The Extension needs work.. Also I would rather not do bundles because the options extension is not NECESSARILY needed. The bundle its self CAN'T be updated so I would need to split them out for update reasons anyway. Also it is not completely necessary to update the options extension with the theme or vice versa unless BOTH need updated..
Continuing on!

Re: [Release] Various theme ports/forks
For Noia Moon, with tabs on top and window maximized, the Pale Moon button and File menu overlap.
EDIT: Fixed in v1-0-2

Thanks, Tobin!
What work needs doing to it, exactly?Matt A Tobin wrote:The Noia theme is up but ONLY the Theme.. The Extension needs work..
Version 1.0.2 is now up, which should hopefully fix this.riiis wrote:For Noia Moon, with tabs on top and window maximized, the Pale Moon button and File menu overlap.
Re: [Release] Various theme ports/forks
Wow! You guys really are cracking on (as we say in the old UK) with these 'thematic variations'.
I'm trying out the Tangomoon, Tangerinemoon and Noia Moon at the moment.
The only slight glitch is with the Noia, which is a good, strong theme but on my laptop is showing the Pale Moon menu button as white on white with light grey letter outline - I'm not getting any Pale Moon button and File menu overlap with tabs on top.
(Would send a screen shot but my keyboard doesn't like it )
I'm using Version 1.0.1 (on automatic update) - will Version 1.0.2 fix this?
Using Windows 8.1 64-bit OS (knocked into desktop shape!) - Pale Moon 25.3.1 (x86)

Re: [Release] Various theme ports/forks
Do you use a white window border, by any chance? Version 1.0.2 will not fix this, but I'd appreciate a screenshot if you can get one!
Re: [Release] Various theme ports/forks
Thanks for responding Lootyhoof.
I do seem to have a white border in place.
Is there a way to adjust this - with about:config perhaps?

Re: [Release] Various theme ports/forks
Ah, I see the issue now. If you add this to userChrome.css:
If you press the Windows key + R, then type %APPDATA% and click OK, then go to Moonchild Productions - Pale Moon - Profiles - [some stuff here].default, you'll see a bunch of stuff here. Make a new folder, called "chrome" (no apostrophes, lowercase) and make a file called userChrome.css in it, with the above information in it. Restart the browser.
Or, a simpler way: install Stylish, restart the browser. Open add-on manager, hit User Styles. Click Write New Style, and paste the above into it. Give it whatever name you want, hit Save.
Code: Select all
@namespace url("http://www.mozilla.org/keymaster/gatekeeper/there.is.only.xul");
#appmenu-button {
background-color: gray !important;
}

Re: [Release] Various theme ports/forks
Oooh it's just like magic innit!
I now have a nice grey matching button. Happy with that because I like this theme a lot - the Options menu now looks particularly fine.
Used your file insertion method but will have a look at Stylish as well.
Thank you kindly

Re: [Release] Various theme ports/forks
The Reinheit theme does not properly format all of the toolbars, when a light theme is not used, including the title bar, the menu bar, the bookmarks bar, and the status bar.
Can the Reinheit title bar, menu bar, bookmarks bar, and status bar be made gray at the outset (that is, without the use of a light theme), the same gray as the gray stripes in the Reinheit navigation bar?

Re: [Release] Various theme ports/forks
This is intentional (you will see from that screenshot that the stripes in the navigation bar are the same colour as the one used for the menu bar/status bar/tabs. Wasn't the titlebar position fixed with the last update?
