What is the url of the page you go on at start ? start.palemoon.org ; about:home ?
Anyway you can change in tools > options > general ; to go on the page you wish and so not on the one where there is the logo. If you don't want any, put about:blank or about:newtab

Or he use the portable version.
Then you can easy use the install version and didn't have any logo.

I don't know if it's the same problem, but I did it this way: Open the "Palemoon-Portable.ini" file and look for: "ShowSplash=true" then change it to "ShowSplash=false" and the PM logo should be gone.
