Add Pale Moon to Wikipedia "lightweight web browsers"
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comparison ... b_browsers
Pale Moon is not present in this Wikipedia comparison of lightweight web browsers. Since PM seems to be better than any of these, its absence is unfortunate.
I discovered Pale Moon by accident. It was the default browser in the new LXDE-based Linux distribution, LX Pup "Tahr" 14.09
In that distro, I was pleased to see that the many lesser (and conflicting) media plugins present in many browsers were replaced by the superior VLC Web plugin.
It worked great for on-the-fly media transcoding tested via VLC-enabled http://www.homenetvideo.com/demo/index- ... st%20Files (home network media server demo).
I was disappointed to see that Elementary OS still plans to use the far less capable Midori web browser as its default in their next "Freya" release. The web browser is one of the first impressions that a new Linux user notices. IMO, Elementary loses lots of "professionalism points" by using a second rate browser like Midori. Will one of the Pale Moon devs contact Elementary OS devs about making the change to Pale Moon?

Re: Add Pale Moon to Wikipedia "lightweight web browsers"
I wouldn't expect Pale Moon to be in a "lightweight" browser line-up, because it's not one of Pale Moon's goals. Pale Moon aims to have a sane (but full) feature set for a web browser without trying to be a swiss army knife. That doesn't mean it aims to be lightweight, per se. Cutting away unwanted features of course achieves this, but only as a side effect.

Then at least Pale Moon should be added to the more general Wikipedia article "Comparison of Web Browsers"

Can you proved any creditable peer reviewed 3rd party sources to that effect that aren't the creators website?Moonchild wrote:Welcome to Wikipedia,Matt A Tobin wrote:[Citation needed]Moonchild wrote:Wikipedia is the encyclopedia "everyone can edit"

Ah ah ah Tobin ; +1000
That's exactly that. It's outstanding how, for things who don't need any 3rd party source, they may want it still.
