Basilisk 2026.04.15 Released!

Basilisk 2026.04.15 has been released!

This release uses UXP commit hash 778d93ac49.

Please see the downloads page to download the update or the source code archive.

The autoupdate service does not currently support FreeBSD or MacOS builds so a manual update is required on these operating systems.

Downloaded & tested this new release, (linux-x64/gtk2 version) on my regularly visited 30 sites:
Although i skipped the first 2026 version, and the changlelog seems rather impressive, no conspicuities here.
Cloudfart / https://browser-compat.turnstile.workers.dev/ remains a pain (impudent cpu-consumption + unexpected error).

I downloaded & manually updated to the latest, & all went very well.

To date everything that was working fine seems to still be working quite well.....me thinks maybe even a tad faster.

A bit late to the party here but latest Basilisk on macOS seems to work fine for me. Will test on Windows soon.

Why can I not find a more recent listing for the user-agent for Basilisk than 2024? Obviously, the browser has since been updated.
Am I correct in thinking that there is no version of Basilisk for MacOS?

I apologize, I am not sure what you're asking or where you are looking for user agents. If you want a copy of the current Basilisk version's useragent, download the browser and navigate to the about: page.

There are builds for PowerPC OS X 10.5, x86_64 MacOS 10.7 and above, and all versions of MacOS for Apple Silicon.
