Not the fastest check in the world but it passed for me without issue.

It only pops up when you go to the forum and attempt to log in.

Ah. Thanks. I missed the single word forum (and the missing "Log In"). https://www.kvraudio.com/forum/ucp.php?mode=login does indeed require Cloudflare for me. It went by pretty quickly though. 5 seconds tops.

In my opinion, it takes far too long to open a web page. For this reason, I created the "Bypass Cloudflare with Saved Cookies" add-on. This allows me to instantly open a page that uses Cloudflare verification, even though I tend to delete cookies frequently.

Screenshots:

The time at which Cloudflare verification begins is 17:53:59
01.png
The time at which the Cloudflare check ends is 17:54:41
It took 42 seconds to successfully pass the Cloudflare check.
02.png
I use the "Bypass Cloudflare with Saved Cookies" add-on to save in "prefs.js" the cookies added by "kvraudio.com" after successfully passing the Cloudflare check.
03.png
To demonstrate the functionality of my add-on, I delete all cookies saved by Pale Moon, then use the add-on to reopen the page https://www.kvraudio.com/forum/ucp.php?mode=login
04.png
Right-click on the page link + Click on the "Bypass Cloudflare with Saved Cookies" option at time 18:04:16
05.png
The page opens at 18:04:19
It took 3 seconds to open the page.

Many thanks for the new variant of your previous extension, tellu-white. Just discovered it by accident, here.

Let's hope you change your mind and finally upload it/them to the Pale Moon Add-ons Site. And yes, I've read your previous replies on the subject.

Whenever I enter a website that used this cloudfare stuff, palemoon shuts down after some time trying to load it.

Before it closes down, I was able to take a print of the error messages:

Code: Select all

Error: TypeError: x[H] is undefined
Then it shows the web link (that the print was not able to capture fully, due to the limited size of error console

then it says nearly the same (without the "error" word

Code: Select all

TypeError: x[H] is undefined
My Palemoon version it the 33.2.0

Yes, please update. Cloudflare does not support older versions of Pale Moon and there are known issues with their captcha especially on versions before 33.8.0

I found a way out apparently, used the QuickPrefBar add-on and clicked "force reload" while the couldflare widget was spinning. That reloaded page and validated (?) couldflare check.

Colour me curious: what forces you to stay on the old version that you "cannot" update?

Ultra modern cpu requirement, ultra modern libstdc++ requirement and far too modern glib and pango requirements (likely, most of their own required libs) prevents me to use the binary version. There is also the mention of a high resolution screen, but I guess this is not a hard requirement.

We do have Linux SSE2 versions supplied by Nuck-TH. So the CPU requirement wouldn't be an issue if you use that. As for the dependencies, they are pretty conservative (we build the release binaries on an older Linux OS for a reason) so I'm not sure what ancient version of Linux you're using but you should really migrate to something less ancient if you can't meet those minimum requirements, so you can use a version of Pale Moon that addresses the CloudFlare captcha/turnstile issues.

Unfortunately his versions require a higher GLibc version (2.28) than Ubuntu 18.04 accepts (2.27), for the libmozsqlite3 library alone (ironically, everything else was fine last time I checked). Therefore it would be unusable in any Linux versions based on that Ubuntu - or compatible Debian - versions, or earlier.
Such is the situation with me, running Linux Mint 19.2, where I have to compile the browser myself each time a new version comes out - which takes about three hours on an i5 M460 CPU with 8GB of RAM.

Some of us may have different but equally strong reasons to run older OS versions, and not all of us know enough to put together a compilation chain of tools.

Yeah, ok. Well, building from source is always an option.
