Problem with images in https://boards.4chan.org

Post by Ariesun24 » 2025-08-20, 22:07

The problem is that when I open the image in a new page, it appears cut in half.

Example: https://i.4cdn.org/wg/1719355781392302.jpg

Image

If I click the magnifying glass to enlarge the image, then it appears complete.

When I clicked on the link you provided and was let in, by CloudFlare, the picture was "not" cut in half. It was complete. When I clicked on the hour glass, it enlarged to full screen mode on my 32" external monitor.

At the time of this posting, I am using 64 bit linux Pale Moon (GTK2) 33.8.1.2 running in 64 bit MX Linux 23.6 (Libretto) Xfce. And uBlock Origin 1.16.6.1 was enabled for the site.

Works for me on latest PM, Win 10 64-bit. It shows the whole pic.

You'll probably need to post a bit more info. Troubleshooting & console.

Unable to reproduce here as well. You do seem to be using a custom theme, which may possibly impact the top level media display. Can you please check if it still happens for you using the default browser theme? If not, then that may be the issue.

Solved, the problem is in the Advanced Night Mode 1.0.13 extension.

Where did you get that from? You're better off using Swarth to change the color of webpages in conjunction with AutoPageColor to automate the switchover.

I found it here along with other old extensions I used in Palemoon: https://justoff.github.io/
Thanks for the advice, Swarth works well.

JustOff used to be a developer for PM but has been missing since the Ukraine war started. At this point his extensions are as good as unmaintained and anyway the first place you should look at for extensions is the official addons page for Pale Moon, which is even accessible from the local addons menu (Tools->Addons or Ctrl-Shift-A keyboard shortcut)
