Linux Pale Moon 33.3.0 (64 Bit) (GTK2) On Old Computer

Unread post by Night Wing » 2024-08-13, 15:37

I am now typing this post using 64 bit linux Pale Moon 33.3.0 (GTK2) with the new AVX computer capabilities on my 12 year old HP Pavilion 14", dv4-5113cl laptop running the 64 bit MX Linux 23.3 (Libretto) Xfce distro.

Linux Pale Moon 33.3.0 is running smooth as silk on this old laptop which is considered a "dinosaur" in this age of computers since it was built in the year 2012. This old laptop originally came with 64 bit Windows 7 Home Premium.

This old laptop "always" goes with me when I am traveling which is mostly down to the upper and sometimes to the middle coast of Texas where it meets the Gulf of Mexico and where I go surfing with my prone long board and stay for two days or more.

This laptop has been very good to me for the last 12 years I have been using it. The specifications are below for this old laptop for anyone who is interested. Just because a computer is old like mine, it just might be able to handle the new 33.3.0 with AVX like mine does.
