If you want an alternative to imgur I suggest using pomf.lain.la. That's what I use for quickly uploading JPEG-XL images (which I then wrap into embed.moe).

My current desktop (Linux)

Not much of a desktop at the moment, just displaying one of my VB6 windows widget running on Linux/Wine, just never thought that would happen but it did. Next thing to try is ReactOS.

The Windows task bar is always set to autohide for no distractions and the rest of my desktop is black, so to add a little interest, Pale Moon is open with some bookmarks showing.

Re: Posting my desktop
I have been refining my no icons, text only Pale Moon look. Trimmed it a little and decided I don't really need the status bar because what's shown in the pop-up is enough. I love how Pale Moon lets me do stuff like this.

Re: Posting my desktop
This is my current desktop 4K, with all my recent widgets displayed. These are my new VB6 standalone desktop widgets, graphical duplicates of the old Yahoo Widget versions that are becoming increasingly obsolete. I'm writing them in VB6 as I am quite proficient in the language and there is now a valid upgrade path for VB6 for the first time in 20 years, that upgrade being TwinBasic which is language compatible and 64bit!
Future proofing is vital.

I am migrating the widgets one by one starting with the most simple types, the desktop trinkets. The Panzer sysmetric gauges are being converted next and after that the volume controls.

Re: Posting my desktop
That's the All CPU Meter widget. I'm using Rainmeter with the "Gadgets" skin by SilverAzide. (which is based on the Vista/early Win7 widget (before they killed widgets) of the same name)
It's extremely handy to always have an at-a-glance overview of my system's state and health.

Cool thanks, I made one with my widget toolkit, but that one looks better than mine... I might have to adopt some of that look for mine.

Thought I would put up my newest choice for my Desktop photo.
In this desktop tower computer, there are three SSD's in it. Two of the hard drives use 64 bit Linux Mint Xfce. The third hard drive uses 64 bit MX Linux Xfce and this is the hard drive I'm using to post this message with. At this time I am using 64 bit linux Pale Moon (32.5.2).

It is a great place for a vacation which I did when I was much, much younger. Only I did not do the usual "tourist" thing when I went there. I went there for five days strictly to surf the waves using, at that time, my Robert August 9'6" single fin longboard and that was how I spent 90% of my time in Mauritius. Other great places for surfing uniform waves are in the countries of Indonesia, Bali and Fiji.

This is my current setup on my laptop. It's OpenSuSE themed to look like Windows 7, complete with Aero glass.

Like the Win7 aero theme on Linux.
If possible would appreciate more details on how this was achieved... which Linux Desktop Environment (DE) installed, any theme package used as a base, etc, etc.

Re: Posting my desktop
Sure, it's built on top of KDE 5. This repo contains everything you need to make it work: https://gitgud.io/wackyideas/aerothemeplasma
It took a while to setup, especially since the guy who made that project includes some precompiled binaries for x86 and my laptop is ARM64. His autoinstall script installed a bunch of libraries that didn't work with my computer due to the different CPU architecture and it caused my desktop environment to crash over and over
Some of the README instructions aren't super clear, it took some tinkering on my end to get it fully working.

Re: Posting my desktop
I've been playing around with my second desktop tower computer which has three hard drives in it. Two hard SSD drives run 64 MX Linux 23.2 (Libretto) Xfce and the third SSD drive run 64 bit linux Debian 12.4 (Bookworm) Xfce. I'm now playing around with the third SSD drive which is installed with 64 bit linux Debian 12.4 (Bookworm) Xfce to learn it and see how much different it is comparison with Linux Mint and MX Linux.
Debian 12.4 (Bookworm) Xfce has really "bland" wallpaper installed as default. There are only four pictures for a Background for the Desktop photo. I decided to make one of my Desktop photos in my collection to be the new Desktop photo for Debian.
