Generally, people use the term "Linux" and "Linux operating system" to refer to it. Since purists have been
hammering on GNU/Linux so much it's become a meme and the term itself implies purism or affiliation with it, I'm actively avoiding it. Yes, by pushing so hard for it, they have achieved the exact opposite of what they intended.
