Tried deleting all the bookmarks but all that does is leave an empty gap. Any way to completely remove this?

Thanks

Use the Menu bar entry "View" and then Toolbars and then deselect Bookmarks toolbar.

An additional way to remove it is to right-click on any toolbar, then in the resulting context menu untick the
Bookmarks Toolbar.

A third option is clicking the entry in the AppMenu Preferences submenu to remove it.
