Problem When I Bungle Login Topic is solved

It's been doing this for a while, but I don't think it's always been this way.

After I mis-type my password of course I have to do it again. After I get it right on the second attempt, it tells me I've exceeded the allowable limit, and I have to do it a third time, with the captcha. So the allowable limit is one time; it never lets me enter the second time. Plus, the captcha pictures are atrocious; 16K they're not. Sometimes it's impossible to tell what they are. Eventually I get in. What's up?

The login attempts should now be fixed. For some reason it was indeed set to 1 and should be 3.
As for hCaptcha images, they are grainy on purpose; it makes it harder for bots to solve (sorry if you as a result have trouble too but we can't do anything about it -- complain to hCaptcha)
