Since you're using an old uBO version, the breaking rule wouldn't have been converted into a working one for you either.
That's why a simple UA override fixed the issue, at your end.

To properly avoid the issue, while correctly applying various filter rules, you really need to upgrade to uBO Legacy:

Everything's A-OK now! All I did was disable the list for a sec and then it sent me an update to the latest version and I re-enabled the list after the update. I didn't have to mess with the UA again. On Pale Moon, the current version is 1.16.4.20 as of today on the legacy build as we all know we can't use the web extensions due to non-support.

It depends If you want to suffer the awful interface... I would be dubious about security too..

Back in the 90's people were happy with basic websites, that could be easily made using just a text editor!! but then came the drive for fancy flashy things and stuff that could not be done by 'normal' stuff.. and gogle invented all new code to do it with... todays websites just go blank if script is turned off!!!

I think it may be worth using different things for what you want, eg if you have a heavy job, that means going across a field to pick up stuff, you know a normal car will not do it!!

and you need to dash down the road for an emergency, you have your average very reliable car..

for playtime of course you would have a flashy sports car!!

I am sure you must see the similarity with web browsers.... one is good, easy to use, and the other will do all the crazy stuff, without problems...

What's uBO Legacy exactly? I have uBlock Origin 1.16.4.20 and in the Add-On Manager it links to https://github.com/gorhill/uBlock-for-firefox-legacy So is this Legacy or not and what's the difference? One of the enabled filters is uBlock filters - Legacy and I just updated it. But trying various UA strings here doesn't make it work.

I don't know if folk are still having trouble getting Pornhub videos to play but I found the perfect solution to my problem. I use an add-on called Random Agent Spoofer. What it does is lets a site think it's another browser, one that is compatible. I switched my user browser to resemble Firefox, etc. and bang, now my Pornhub videos play.

Did you mean to say Ublock Origin? That's what I use.
edit: nevermind I guess, the UA override has changed itself or something from the IE one to the one posted here, and it just works now. No idea how, but it's fine.

I event went to Github, but have, again, absolutely no idea what to do with the files Can you please help me as to a Pale Moon noob? It would be greatly appreciated!
