Hey I posted this a while ago.

This is still happening on latest Fedora whenever Pale Moon is launched via another application. I noticed a duplicate desktop entry in ~/.local/applications whereas the /usr/share/applications one is the default, however deleting this did not fix the issue.
Maybe it's something to do with how Pale Moon initializes windows depending on how it's launched?

This problem is already known and the cause is explained here: Duplicate icon in some launchers
