but this isn't the only url. I am able to view some videos I'm subscribed to.
Theme: Walnutty 1.6.1, problem also exists when using the default theme

VLC WebPlugin - set to ask to activate because it doesn't work (I think it used flash and now that it is removed, it shows I need a plugin).

Important Note: I removed flash from all four Windows 7 computers in September 2019 since at the end of 2020 it will be gone. I'm not sure if this is when the problems started.

In order to watch videos coded in html5, I have to use Firefox which has two plugins:
Open H264 Video Codec and Widevine Content Decryption Module

The only thing relating to HTML5 looking over the Palemoon extensions I was able to find was HTML5 Media Tuner. I have no use to turn it off because apparently I don't have it.

What is the problem exactly? You didn't say it.
Anyway, even though the 28.9 version had some issues when first released, and thus might still have some not identified, the first thing you must do is uninstall NoScript and clear the cache, then restart the browser, possibly with a clean session (i.e. close all tabs and windows.)
After that, try again and report back if you still see issues.

I wanted to post this earlier but I had to leave.
Here it is in safe mode - all addons disabled and using the default theme.
Now, how can I get html5 support? Clearly addons supported or not, is not my problem. If I removed them all, I'd see the same error that my browser doesn't recognize any of the video formats.

Last screenshots. This is a new profile there are no addons installed. The default theme because no themes are installed. Two plugins. And still the same issue. It is not an addon nor theme problem; it is an html5 problem. What do I do to fix this?

And you're not linking the fact that you have the VLC media playback plugin listed and active to your problems with... media playback?
Kindly use your brain. Try disabling or removing the VLC browser plugin.

Since I can't remove the plugin without possibly breaking some things, the best I can do is disable it.

YouTube continues to show the same error as I posted earlier.

plugin.state.npvlc show the value 0
Is that correct?

Is setting, plugin.scan.plid.all;false (& restarting) sufficient to disable plugins?

(Suppose you could try that & see if VLC/Sumatra still turn up.)

If so, not going to work in PM.

You can lock this thread. I'm done troubleshooting.
After asking others to test Palemoon and that particular video, (no VLC web plugin installed) they see the same error that I do. I've come to the conclusion that Palemoon can't handle html5. It has nothing to do with themes, addons, nor plugins. I know now, it is not my computer; it is the browser.

I will launch either Vivaldi or Firefox which can play the video.

Turns out this is DRM protected content. Guess no one bothered take the 30 seconds to check.

Now think reeeeeeeaaalllllyyyy hard before you respond. Does Pale Moon support DRM? Does VLC?

It's DRM protected content it will never play in Pale Moon or VLC and for the time being not in Basilisk either.

"YouTube Movies" = commercial movie streaming = EME = DRM.
Don't expect it to work in "unsanctioned Open Source projects" because that is how Google treats its proprietary DRM modules.
