Moving 'Bookmarks Toolbar' to 'Bookmarks Menu'

Unread post by markfilipak » 2020-03-19, 20:44

I need to move several thousand bookmarks from 'Bookmarks Toolbar' to 'Bookmarks Menu'. Is there a file system way to do that? I looked through the application list of files and couldn't find obvious candidates.

Thanks, and Warm Regards,
Mark.

To my knowledge, bookmarks are stored in a database format, so no, there is no way to move them between UI locations through the filesystem.

If I had a few, d&d would be fine. For thousands, well, I don't like to stress an application like that if it doesn't have a built-in bulk-process function -- that's how applications break.

SQL? There's 220 '.sqlite' files in my profile! None of them say "bookmarks".

The fuck did you do to your profile?

Just export your passwords and bookmarks and wipe the slate clean man. Shit.

It's not called "bookmarks" because bookmarks aren't the only thing stored in the places sqlite file.

Honestly I recommend taking Tobin's advice here.
