YouTube loads linearly as of lately.
It's probably from a recent update (I also read here - that something was changed with regard to YouTube). I have it opened in a tab - most of the time; and it froze Pale Moon many times. I think that's the only website with a new problem.

It is because of the new Youtube Polymer design.
You can use the old user agent for YT to use the old design until Youtube switches it off in some months.
