Re: uninstall/reinstall PM from xenialpup
i didn't uninstall the version that was supplied with puppy. it has been upgraded with the updater in pm.
not using linux on a regular basis and don't even know what a tarball is ! running xenialpup from yumi with persistence, with a usb, thinkpad x60 without HD.

Re: uninstall/reinstall PM from xenialpup
Try using a new profile (search the forum if you don't know how to do it.)
If it still crashes then it might need some more steps, but since I used Puppy Linux only once and for a short time I can't really help you.
