Pale Moon for Linux - Release Announcements

Unread post by trava90 » 2018-08-16, 15:21

Pale Moon 28.0.0 for Linux has been released!

This is a new major milestone in Pale Moon's release history and we are excited to bring it to you!

Please be sure to read the release notes here: http://www.palemoon.org/releasenotes.shtml for an overview of all the changes for v28.

In addition to the changes described in the release notes, on Linux we will now be using Pale Moon's own internal updater for handling updates going forward. In order for the updater to work however, you must extract Pale Moon to a user-writable location on your system. Also note that as of this release the pminstaller tool will no longer work for installing or updating Pale Moon.

You can grab the latest version from the Pale Moon for Linux site.

Be sure to read the release notes here: http://www.palemoon.org/releasenotes.shtml for all the details.

You can grab this latest version from the Pale Moon for Linux site or via the internal updater.

Please note:
The builds were not made by Travis this time around since he's kinda MIA at the moment; these generic binaries are this time built by Tobin and signed by me. The signatures of these builds are therefore done with my main PGP key and not Travis'.
The 32-bit version of this release has been built using gcc 4.9.2 instead of 7.3 because we didn't have the later toolchain handy on an i386 distro. This should not have any bearing on the result, though.
