I just installed it from:

https://github.com/gorhill/uBlock/relea ... er=1.18.10

So I only had to go to the second page.

In the long run, though, would it be possible to somehow simplify installation of ublock origin?
The:
https://github.com/JustOff/ublock0-updater/
I think is doing the work right.
I no longer use firefox and never (seriously) used adChromium; being able to filter away irrelevant content from potentially
malicious actors is important for me, so that I can get work done quickly (it is not problem when I install ublock origin,
but on a fresh linux setup I often don't have neither palemoon nor ublock origin installed, which is why I am posting
right now )
I share you views.
I can add that Pale Moon is really a good browser.
E.g.: I decrypt traffick a lot, dumping the TLS secret keys into $SSLKEYLOGFILE for later analysis and I am amazed how well Mark Straver implemented the new TLSv3 standards, with the 28.6.1 bug-fix version, the previous to recent version. That's really sublime programming, to be able to do it.

Regards!

I have been using Adblock Latitude but it does not block animated videos on web pages.
So about to give UBlockO a go.
Thank you to Gorhill for all his support for us Legacy mules.
And JustOff for his UBlock Updater

UBlock Origin
I just downloaded v1.16.4.11 dated
ie, Firefox-Legacy-1.16.4.11

The version "shevy" installed 1.18.10 is a web-extension NOT a Legacy extn

Gorhills Github releases are for both Web-extensions _AND_ Legacy extensions
Releases for Palemoon (and other Fox legacy based browsers) are clearly titled
Firefox-Legacy, all the other releases without the "title" qualifier) are WEB EXTENSIONS
.
01_Github PMoon XPI dLoad.png
.
Older previous [firefox-legacy-1.16.4.9] is further down the list from v1.16.4.11

If I have made an error, please PM me to correct any blunders. ;)
Win-7 PRO 64-bit
Palemoon; auto updates current version (32-bit)

This was actually very helpful for me as I am using MyPal..a version of Palemoon for XP and I like Ublock Origin because it doesn't mess up things like some of the others though I do wish we didn't have to rely on a separate updater to keep the filter lists updated.

It took me awhile to find the legacy file but a, glad I have it. Thanks for the guide

There is no such thing as a version of Pale Moon for Windows XP (past 26.5 that is). Make no mistake. What you have here is something vaguely similar and it may be enough for you but I have well documented reasons for questioning it.

Sorry for the late reply...I have "MyPal" because it was based on PaleMoon and adapted for Windows XP and as such has a link to "GitHub"

It is decent, I guess, I do not like having to instal a updater for Ublock Origin though but I thank you for the info and will look into this.

Edited to add: I tired downloading Pale Moon version 26.5 but it won't install despite being told on various sites it would on a xp platform. Oh well...

Cause it was the Atom version that was produced by Moonchild that was XP Compatible. Though it has a slightly reduced featureset and opts for atom machines specifically. I did a Pale Moon for XP full mainline-style builds. But those don't seem to be on the archive anymore since it was switched from ftp.

I also don't personally have them handy. But they are old and insecure. It would be worse running those than the Not-Pale Moon builds you have been using.

I can see if I can get them back up, if I can find them (or if you send them to me)

Moron..

The Atom versions are on the archive because they were produced by Moonchild Productions along side the mainline builds. MY mainline-style Pale Moon for Windows XP is what isn't on the archive since it switched from ftp, as I already explained.

And no, I don't have them anymore because they are old and insecure. Then again, so is Windows XP.

Oh, I thought they might have been removed all together, after that hacking incident.
Anyway, previous post edited..
Are those the ones in question?
I didn't have builds newer than v25.5.0, and for the portable version, I could only locate the 32-bit build.

The Atom version was only built in 32-bit, period.

Yes, of course, but the 25.5.0 builds, which I uploaded, aren't the Atom version.
I think they might be Tobin's last XP builds, which you asked for.

Off-topic:
Why the hell would anyone use 25.5.0 versions when the latest compatible ones are a whole milestone version higher?
I mean, there's taking a risk using old and insecure versions due to OS limitations, and then there's an unnecessary risk by using something even older than that.
also... what does this have to do with how to install uBlock origin on Pale Moon 27?

From now on, uBlock Origin compatible with Pale Moon should be downloaded from here.

uBlock Origin Updater has been updated accordingly, so all updates will be catched automatically.

I still don't know why it can't be released on the Add-ons Site. Would take all of 2 minutes.

The difference between "can't" and "don't want to because X". Or maybe shapeshifting reptilians have trouble with phoebus ;-)

With it being on its own repo now, would it not make more sense for gorhill to maintain an update.rdf? That way we could set this as an external and he can update on his own terms.
