I have the setting "When I open a link in a new tab, switch to it immediately" unchecked.
However when I open a link from the Bookmarks menu in a new tab (by right-clicking on it and clicking "Open in a New Tab" or by middleclicking) that link is opened in a new tab and that new tab is switched to immediately.
Not sure if this is inteneded or not, but it makes opening several links from Bookmarks more time consuming.
Version 28.7.1 64-bit. Windows 7.

Bookmarks are not page links. They are 2 different things. Using a bookmark is the same as opening a new tab and entering the relevant URL; you will always switch focus to it.

Tab Utilities Phoenix provides such an option. When Focus new tabs from is not checked for Bookmarks/History, right-click on a bookmark opens it in the background.
