28.7.0 update
"Improved performance of image content loading."
I notice the first, large picture load faster in articles I read. Before, I would see a short delay for the 1st while the 2nd and 3rd pictures would load quickly.
Thank you for all the hard work you do.
Questions: Does duckduckgo give a commission for every search that I do in the url bar? Or is there a limit per day by ip address? Would an adblocker interfere with this process?

Re: 28.7.0 update
Glad to hear some real-world feedback like this.
If DDG is the default search engine then searching from the address bar or search bar will provide a commission. I'm not privy to the actual algorithm in use for these commissions but I assume that normal searches (as in human-instigated) will all be counted for potential commissions depending on the search results having ads.
It might, if it interferes with sponsored search results on DDG search result pages.

Re: 28.7.0 update
Would you recommend disabling one's adblocker for duckduckgo.com, then? For me, that's not much of a problem, as their ads are not intrusive.
Re: 28.7.0 update
I do recommend disabling adblockers on duckduckgo.com if you want to support us.

Re: 28.7.0 update
I've also noticed some tangible improvements with 28.7.0. Well done, team.
About whitelisting DDG, perhaps you should add that info in rumor control or wherever it will be seen. I doubt most of us would remember/consider doing it on our own.

Re: 28.7.0 update
A sizeable percentage (maybe 15% to 35%) of the user population may not know that their adblocker might be interfering with Pale Moon's revenue generation. They may want to help out but simply are not aware of the possible issue.
Maybe a small, friendly reminder about putting DDG into the whitelist can be placed at the top of the changelog webpage that appears after a Pale Moon update.
Would this be too obtrusive?

I like this idea! I had no idea (until this discussion) that this arrangement would help you guys!person45 wrote: ↑2019-09-02, 17:05A sizeable percentage (maybe 15% to 35%) of the user population may not know that their adblocker might be interfering with Pale Moon's revenue generation. Re: 28.7.0 update
The idea has been put into practice. Can't hurt to ask, right?

Re: 28.7.0 update
I'd like to use DDG but it doesn't have the customisable Advanced mode that I use in Startpage - is there a way of getting this in DDG?

Re: 28.7.0 update
The "hamburger" menu on the right? Does that have enough customizations / info for you?
Re: 28.7.0 update
Plenty - I suppose that I could get it set up then just use Operators in a search rather than have Startpage's Advanced view. I'll give it a go and also disable UBO for DDG.
