Page loading very slow

Unread post by badnick » 2019-05-06, 10:08

This is my main page looking for weather.
http://meteox.de/forecastloop.aspx?type=1

Since this latest version of PM (28.5.0) the page is completely loading in a much more long time than on previous versions.
I'm seeing this behavior also randomly for other links.

The linked page loads in 1 to 2 seconds here.
To me, that's not slow.

How long does it take for the page to load for you?

Loads pretty quickly for me, with and without eMatrix.
In particular I could see an animation showing what I presume are clouds, and if so it told me it will rain in the following days where I live (but I knew that already...)

For me about 20-22 seconds. I tested also on clean profile and is the same. Are you shure is 1-2 seconds for you? Look at the spinning circle , the page is full loaded when no more spinning circle.

You're not really understanding how this site works, I think. The page will load, but the animated map will continue loading data until the animation is "complete". That it is still loading data does not mean that the page has not loaded yet.

OK..but why on earth for the previous versions of PM the behavior was not this?
I check this site daily from about 2 years

Still loading data for animations mean the page isn;t full loaded.

Well if you know better than I do how the parser and renderer works, then by all means, be my mentor.

Nevertheless the OP page cycles the image in an endless loop, while this one https://it.sat24.com/it/forecastimages which seems to use the same input images has a way of stopping and resuming the animation.

For me, it takes about 30 seconds for the favicon in the tab to stop spinning. Scrolling down, I see this:

Is it supposed to look this way?

The page from Lucio Chiappetti loads fast and looks normal.

Seems to be a change in the page structure because it takes about the same time to load in other browsers. In to the past needs only 2-5 seconds for complete loading.

Well, I don't know if the site's publishers intend it to look like that, but meteox.de displays like that for me in other browsers too, not just in Pale Moon. As noted above, it's due to the site.

Iron 73.0.3800.1
