Profiles used by Portable Pale Moon

Just discovered and like Pale Moon. I appreciate the effort that has gone into this by volunteer programmers.

I'm on Win7 32bit os and see a little odd behaviour with the PROFILE used by my PORTABLE installed Pale Moon.
It's a minor issue and may even be "driver error", but I appreciate any guidance. (I have used advanced forum search to see past threads on "portable profile", but could not spot any relevant posts.)

When I start PM from a shortcut I placed in my Start Menu, it loads correctly using the Default profile it finds here "D:\programs\PaleMoon\User\Palemoon\Profiles\Default" (my portable PM lives on D drive).

When I start PM by clicking a link in, say, an email, PM starts up using a profile it finds here "C:\Users\mike\AppData\Roaming\Moonchild Productions\Pale Moon\Profiles\fqgt5w97.default"

Naturally, I'd rather it used only a the one profile, preferably the one in the same directory as the portable install.

How can I do that ?

You are trying to use a portable version in a non-portable way.
Please note the bold red text on http://www.palemoon.org/download.shtml# ... e_versions
