edX's CS50 course looks broken in Pale Moon

Unread post by twinaddress » 2019-01-06, 03:19

Hi all,

I use Pale Moon 28.2.2 on Windows 7 Professional 64x.

I'd like to know if with your Pale Moon you also see the following CS50 page broken: https://www.edx.org/course/cs50s-introd ... ardx-cs50x

I checked with IE, for example, and the page looks OK.

It's not a major issue, I'd like to know if the rendering can be improved with some useragent switch perhaps?

Thanks

Tried with a fresh portable - fresh profile. Tested out some user agents, page still looks broken. Additionally 2 errors get shown in the error console:

Timestamp: 06.01.2019 04:50:36
Error: The character encoding of the plain text document was not declared. The document will render with garbled text in some browser configurations if the document contains characters from outside the US-ASCII range. The character encoding of the file needs to be declared in the transfer protocol or file needs to use a byte order mark as an encoding signature.

Timestamp: 06.01.2019 04:50:36
Error: [Exception... "Component returned failure code: 0x80004002 (NS_NOINTERFACE) [nsIWebProgress.DOMWindow]" nsresult: "0x80004002 (NS_NOINTERFACE)" location: "JS frame :: chrome://browser/content/browser.js :: onStateChange :: line 10783" data: no]

Perhaps it would make sense to open for this issue a bug report at Github?
