Mozilla to disable legacy add-ons from October '18

Many, if not all PM users will have Mozilla add-ons, so does this mean we will no longer be able to access any that we don't already have installed, or are they to be ported to PM in some way?

There will be an eventual non-affiliated archive site put up for historical reasons with the most complete library of true firefox extensions more complete than even AMO today offers. If you want to pay me I can accelerate the work or you can wait for whenever I get around to it for free.

(And I'm assuming that when TB.net was set up, they got a copy of what was, from AMO.)

It's only stuff that specifically supports TB and/or Seamonkey that got moved. Any FF addons, or addons that support FF, TB and SM remain on AMO. And, of course, will soon go.

Mozilla kicked apparently without any reason some extensions over the years from AMO.
Therefore I always preferred to look for updates and downloads at the devs' pages/GitHub.
Anyway, automatic updates are always disabled in my browser.

That is not quite true. Some extensions that were written for both Firefox and SeaMonkey were copied over, and some were not. The ones I use which were copied over:
Add-ons Button
Controle de Scripts
DOM Inspector
DownThemAll
Element Inspector
Live HTTP Headers
Restart Application Button
User Agent Switcher
Version Number in Add-ons Manager
YesScript
The ones I use which were written for both SeaMonkey and Firefox which were not copied:
