Video's Don't Show on Real.Video
Video's Don't Show on Real.Video
So there is a new video sharing sight called Real.Video and is a new platform for folks to
share video without censorship and I just finally got to it today. But the video's don't show at all.
It seems like it's playing as I can hear the video but I cannot see it nor does it show any video frame.
I did see once a play bar appear for about a second but then disappear.
I can confirm that it does this on a new profile with zero add on's. Here is a link.

Re: Video's Don't Show on Real.Video
Does not work in SeaMonkey 2.53.
Does not work in FF 52.
Video does load in FF 61.
Not sure if the playback is correct ? in that the clip is 2:53, but the "picture" remained static until ~1.24 & then only changed a few times after that. IOW, I don't know what is normal there, what to expect.
Offhand, don't know why it doesn't play in SeaMonkey / FF 52?
(And without looking, I'll assume [you know what that means] that it won't work in PM 28 or Basilisk either.)
(Maybe I should look .)
---
(In FF 61) this video, https://www.real.video/5811441940001, plays what I would call, normally.
Some other videos that I looked at also played essentially "static".

Re: Video's Don't Show on Real.Video
Yea, as far as I can tell I have the latest version of PM 28 running. Still no go.
Re: Video's Don't Show on Real.Video
Perhaps application/x-mpegURL ?
(BTW, is that a right-wing, left-wing, or center-wing website .)

As far as I know, it's been put together by a guy named Mike Adams from Natural News http://162.244.66.146/
I don't think you could really put a label on it in that way. I think they really care about a lot of things and
the ability to speak freely on a platform without being censored has been their goal. There has been a huge
amount of censorship lately in almost all forms on the internet lately and this is a breath of fresh air. I hope
that it does well.
But honestly, let's not derail this thread. This is about a player not working in PM 28. Not about labeling the
web site.

(I was actually kidding about that. Never heard of it before, never been there before. And could really care less which way they might tilt.)
Re: Video's Don't Show on Real.Video
They may need to work with brightcove to work out their kinks.
I tried opening the video and it doesn't even show for me - there's no video player visible at all. Audio plays but that's it, no visible player.

Ah, so it's a CSS grid problem because the spec changed out from under us (again). Ohwell, easily fixed.

Re: Video's Don't Show on Real.Video
This also fixes a long-standing issue with embeded videos @ sol.no, which I've been meaning to report.
Good work! :)
