Yes, it's possible. However the current branch breaks packaging and can only be run on the build machine. I did manage to build an older branch where packaging still worked however. Just note its not as current as what they are working on, but it'll give you a good idea of things to come. The unofficial branding is Serpent in this build. Also note that this does not work on 10.6. This build works on 10.7 and above.

Cheers.

I guess you are using the "UXP" repo to build Basilisk, which is a work in progress. If you want a better Basilisk, try building from the "moebius" repo where I landed a few patches to specifically improve packaging on Mac. This repo is also more "current" in terms of feature set, and already well tried and tested.

moebius is deprecated and will be in maintenance mode as will Tycho in a few days.

Hi, I'm new to this forum and I'd like to thank you for your time developing Serpent.
I'm just facing a minor issue when I right-click on something (it happens twice out of three): the context menu appears for just a few moments and, before I can left-click, it automatically selects the function being pointed by the cursor.
Is there any solution to fix this?
Thanks

Are there any newer OSX builds floating around?
I would like to use one that has pale moon's sync.
Thanks!

I delete older builds when new ones are uploaded. This is the link for the newest build:

yes I see, but with the previous version I could synchronize with the Firefox browser on my other PC. I'm sorry if I'm annoying you.

Hello,

I'm interested in the file too. But it looks like my antivirus is blocking the download (tried to disable the antivirus, but it still has the same message about malware file, tried to clear the cache and cookies - the same; it's been happening with all files lately). Could you please share it via email? Here's my email address: che (dot) utexas (at) gmail (dot) com

Thank you,
Joseph

Only Mozilla Firefox is allowed to use FxA-based Sync. Mozilla is actively trying to block 3rd parties. As FxA is totally less secure than Weave-based Sync and given active resistance and policy from Mozilla, it's dead and gone from Basilisk. We're done.

Basilisk going forward will have a pure weave-only sync client and uses the Pale Moon Sync Service (or any weave-based server) and CAN sync most items between Pale Moon as well. (Exceptions being toolbars. Sometimes personas.. Needs looked into.)

tl;dr We're not "Modern" Mozilla, get over it.

EDIT: Yes, the text in my signature changes semi-regularly and yes, this post prompted one ;)

Thanks so much for the build! seems to work very well so far... Will let you know if anything sticks out... Are you becoming the mac dev for Pale Moon. You seem dedicated... I would love to learn more about it and I am beginning to with the source code you placed in the post...

Thanks again,
Chuck Allison

Spockfan02, Is there a reason other than licensing that widevine breaks in basilisk? I can get the plug in recognized bye adding the widevine lines to about:config from the previous version but it will not activate, It just sits and spins when a video is attempted to play. Not a problem The browser functions great otherwise. I have not found an real big issues so far at all. Thanks again.

Please stop asking about widevine. It is simply broken now that Google has revoked the keys for the versions we support.. and requires api changes on our side to allow newer versions to work.
