I'm sorry, but could you please verify that uB0 Updater isn't disabled?
Oh my, there's the confusion --- I have been and am now using the PM Add-on page "Check for updates" function (which as I've said has worked up until this last v1.14.12 release) which is what I meant by saying
.... I did a "manual check" in the PM Add-ons page (top-right of page) as I did last time to get previous update
.... (so I'm not speaking of your uB0 Updater extension) I've already gone ahead and used the github site to update to v1.14.12:
https://github.com/gorhill/uBlock/releases so all is well with uBo for me now.....
Sorry for the confusion... this is what I also mean in a prior (initial) post:
Pale Moon Rising wrote:I used the "Check for Updates" in the PM add-ons page and uBock Origin (as well as other add-ons) updated successfully just using this method.
which is what I thought was meant by a post ~44 minutes subsequent to my initial post above:
Nigaikaze wrote:Yep, just worked for me. Did a "Check for Updates" just now and it updated 1.14.10 to 1.14.12.

^ Follow-up: so is the "Check for updates" in the PM Add-ons page not expected to be a reliable method to update in the case of uBo?
- Pale Moon Add-on Page "Check for updates" function

And what I've mentioned as "odd" is that this method worked to update before i.e. to uBo v1.14.10 that I did recently...

All update methods are reliable, provided that the uB0 Updater is installed and enabled.
PS: It seems I'm quite lost among your long multi-colored comments and citation

Absolutely. However
uB0 Updater 1.1.0 is enough for Pale Moon at the moment.

@devs Could you also add support for "uMatrix" with both Stable/Beta option, thanks!

JustOff, if you plan to do it, just add support for HEAD version too along with it.

And thanks for including a preference to *not* update uMatrix.

Off-topic:
I'm
very sorry to learn of this. Maybe not entirely surprised, but no less sad for that. I hope it stops with uMatrix.

Off-topic:I was able to build the legacy version of uMatrix 1.1.6 on my Linux system from the
tar.gz source file just by adding back the deleted line
in the file .travis.yml
Installation went fine; Pale Moon support is still in the install.rdf file...
So maybe you can ask Gorhill if you may host this fork on the
Pale Moon addon repository?

nicolaasjan, it' kind a offtopic here, and please hide the image under cut. Thank you.

Why not to start a fork then?
The answer was already given:

Volunteer developers who are on GitHub have a real life outside GitHub. I wish our choice as developer to decline requests for our own reasons was respected, not argued.

there is a better place for this discussion.

For THREE years now I been telling people not to rely on uBlock and Gorhill and this is why.. I tried giving him and his users the benefit of the doubt.. Tried to rationalize my previous criticism away to improve the situation even swallowed my pride to think of the bigger picture.. Even tried ignoring it.. uBlock was NEVER designed for Pale Moon nor has he EVER made a SOLID commitment to Pale Moon support. Yes, he accepted a patch from the pre-origin fork off point that added Toolkit widget support .. FOR SEAMONKEY.. Yes he added an install.rdf entry.. and yes even ONCE and ONLY once did he fix an issue specifically for Pale Moon..
However, even given that he has remained in a position that has only been ONE step away from the good folks at Adblock Plus with regards of supporting us. Maybe next time you will listen to me..
The bottom line is.. I speak only the truth and everything I say is almost always eventually right.
