The announcements board does not see that much traffic, at all. What exactly are you getting e-mails for?

This should now be solved.

No it is not.
It should be fixed as in not sending the same e-mails again and again, and notification mails going out.

And.. looks like the queue got hung up again. ffs.
Well, I'm trying something else now and that is completely disabling the queue system which is thankfully an option. This may make posting slower as things are processed and sent off immediately to the MTA, but at least should work.

OK, well, tinkering more with this today, I've now switched from sendmail to postfix and just let the forum hand mail off to postfix immediately which is now in charge of queueing and delivering mail, and no longer using PHP's mail() command for it. Hopefully that will put an end to all of these troubles. Still unknown why it suddenly decided to break.

Seems to be working some of the time.

Did not work for your post above (no email).

Did work for viewtopic.php?p=130954#p130954 (got an email).

Did not work for viewtopic.php?p=130971#p130971 (no email).

ADDENDUM(after I posted): Did work for viewtopic.php?p=130976#p130976 (which followed the post above this morning, maybe a pattern or valid reason of which I'm not sure hence perhaps not random ).

ADDENDUM 2: Got another email for topic above, do edits trigger an email? (that's all I see that occurred). Okay, I'm going to assume it's okay and only report back if missing emails are demonstrable going forward....

FYI -- Have these settings:

... which used to work pre-forum-upgrade.

I have been receiving duplicate emails for the Announcements forum. Previously it has been two copies, but this morning I received four copies of the "All the best wishes for the new year!" email.

I was wondering whether to unsubscribe/resubscribe but didn't know whether that would make things worse!

I think I have a proper setup finally. All but 1 way of sending notification mails seems to be broken in one way or another.
