I recently tried installing Pale Moon. After unzipping the file...
tar (grandchild): xz: Cannot exec: No such file or directory
tar (grandchild): Error is not recoverable: exiting now
tar: Child died with signal 13
tar: Error is not recoverable: exiting now
I get these four errors as shown above. Does anyone know what the issue might be?

xz: Cannot exec: No such file or directory

...implies that you do not have the "xz" (un)compressor installed. From a terminal (xterm or whatever) execute

which xz

...which will let you know if you have xz installed. If not, you'll need to install xz from your linux distro's repository.
